The byline
In the article's "Author" field you pick a user. On the article page the name stands below the lead and links to the profile. The author picker offers only those who can publish as an author.
Who gets a public profile?
The "Public contributor profile" permission decides. In the demo the "Author" role holds it, so the demo's three fictional authors have profiles. Take the permission away from a role, and the profiles disappear and the byline becomes plain text.
What is on the profile?
the author's name, headline and bio, in both languages;
a portrait;
the author's articles, newest first.
Where does the profile URL come from?
The Authors menu item gives the list of authors, and the profiles live one level below it. Rename the menu item and the profiles' addresses change with it.
Noa Varga
Designer
Noa Varga is a fictional author of BOX Demo. Her profile page lists her articles, and their bylines link to it — as long as her role keeps the public profile permission.
