See the language switcher in the header — in the admin: the item's "Translations" part

Two languages, one item: the language switcher

Every item in the demo exists in Hungarian and English, linked as a pair, so the language switcher leads to its counterpart, never to the home page.

How are the two language versions linked?

Each language gets its own version: its own title, its own URL and its own text. The editor's "Translations" part links the two versions. Once you link them, the header's language switcher leads to the counterpart in the other language.

The same holds for menu items: the Hungarian and the English item form a pair, so lists, archives and functional pages switch to their counterparts too.

What does a search engine see?

Every pair appears in the page's HTML head as an hreflang link. From it a search engine knows the two pages are the two language versions of the same item, and shows visitors the one in their language.

Click the Hungarian flag (Magyar) in the header: you land on this article's Hungarian counterpart, and the British flag brings you back. You can do the same on any event, place, gallery or video.
